Big news in Boston

Paula

We’ve had a ball in Boston these past few months, meeting great people at our sampling events and getting out the word on the T and in the papers.  We wanted to do more and started thinking big … and by big, we mean really big!

Introducing our new, jumbo-sized signs!  Fun to see how they go up and what they look like when completed …

I opened a Convenience Store 20 yrs ago this coming March (2009) and I have been brewing Grn. Mtn. Coffee for (I honestly can’t remember when I started selling it).

In my little town/city there are 5 places to buy that major competitors ‘brew’ and I am literally in the middle of them all and there are 2 that are within 1/2 mile of me, one of which switched from Grn Mtn to ‘you know who’ and I have to tell you the owner actually comes into my store to get my coffee “cuz he don’t like that other coffee”.

I have been really busy the past few weeks with the Holidays and crazy weather and haven’t had a chance to open up the newpaper, until today and what a pleasant surprise to see the huge advertisement in the Boston Herald and I then purposely scanned the Worcester Telegram out of curiosity…and there it was too!!!!!
I just want to say: Thank-you—Thank-you—-Thank-you!!!

I immediately put the writing of this note on my ‘to do list’. Not even sure that this goes right to the top of the company or if it’s just a blog, but I had to get it said. Hopefully it will go to the Company as it is a compliment.
I oftened wondered out loud to my sales rep (Susan) why you don’t advertise and help us little, hard working, generic Mom and Pop, independently owned Convenience Stores, who are always bombarded with ads in all venues creating what I call ‘that Dunkin Donuts mentality’, it’s all that this new generation knows ‘cuz’ it’s always in there face and backdrops of events on TV. They don’t seem to know about anything else, it’s like ‘that’s all there is’, the ‘only choice’.

I don’t know what’s next in your plans or what your plans are on future ads, but if it’s just the beginning of a new era I am thrilled to be a part of it…and look forward to many more yrs of selling such a great product.

    Thanks again

Lisa, thank you SO MUCH for appreciating good coffee and for being a great business partner! We hope that the Boston advertising is successful and something we can expand in the future. Thank you for the VERY kind words about Green Mountain Coffee!

Love the new signage in Boston. It really caught my eye. It made me realize that many of my favorite places serve Green Mountain, from Williamsville General store in Vermont (hopefully reopening soon) to Larry’s PX and Chatham Bakery on the Cape. Good to see the brand growing.
